Description: Join Cindy Knowlton for an inspiring story of her El Camino journey, tips on taking the trip and pictures of her experience. The Camino de Santiago, known in English as the Way of St. James, is a network of pilgrims' ways or pilgrimages leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried. Thousands of people have made this journey and there are many stories and movies about their experience. Cindy will share first-hand memories of her time on the El Camino. Instructor Cindy Knowlton is the former RCSCW Recreation Manager and now is ---. She is an avid hiker and had traversed woods and mountains in the northwest and along the east coast Appalachian trail.
