Class Information for Summer 2020: TAKING (REMOTE) CONTROL OF YOUR HOME 10:00-11:30am, Wednesday, August 5, Via Zoom S108
Smartphones already give us the ability to call anyone in the world or look up anything on the internet, all from the comfort of our pants pockets. But did you know that your smartphone is capable of even more? Tune into this GroovyTek Zoom session to learn about how apps allow your smartphone to control your lights and appliances, play music from speakers, utilize voice commands, and serve as a universal remote for your smarthome! Learn about what devices are smarthome-compatible, and more importantly, how to use them to improve your everyday home life. Instructor Bernard Nixon is a Grand Canyon University alumni and the Lead Technology Trainer for GroovyTek in Arizona. He's a technology enthusiast and combines his interest in "the next best thing" with a dedication to helping clients make the most of personal technology in their daily lives. With experience in recruiting for the tech field and working with personal technology, he uses his knowledge to support the GroovyTek mission - raising the bar of technical understanding for people who grew up without modern technology - through both group classes and one-on-one sessions. Enjoy taking this informative class at home. You will need a Zoom account, detailed steps for setting up your Zoom account and the link for this class to everyone who registers for the class.
