Class Information for Spring 2019: ASTRONOMY II, Mondays and Wednesdays, June 3, 5, 10 and 12, 3-5pm, RH Johnson Lecture Hall (S114)
Astronomy II will be offered June 3, 5, 10 and 12. This class will use video from telescopes, interplanetary space probes and advanced simulations the solar system's formation, evolution, its major and minor planets, moons, asteroids and comets will be explored. Going beyond our solar system, nearby stars and their planets, then distant galaxies and galaxy clusters will be explored. Instructor Joseph Aibinder, B.S., M.S., J.D. is a Sun City Festival Resident and Del Webb Scholar. He who served as a Connecticut high school physics and astronomy teacher, a college advanced placement instructor, an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut and is a NASA Endeavor Teaching Fellow.
